Shellee has been singing, writing and performing since she was very young and somehow music has always weaved itself into the theme of both her life, her work and her spirituality. She has released 4 albums of original music and is currently working on a new project called “Rise up, Love”.

She has been deconstructing and reconstructing on her faith journey since her 20’s and considers it a deep privilege to be a student of the universal mystery and living into the questions rather than the answers. That theme carries throughout her music, as well as her everyday life.

As a result of that, Shellee has been working with other musicians and creative humans for over a decade, teaching songwriting & singing both in the form of creative practice and as support for developing artists who aspire to participate in the music business.

Along the way, she began adding a more spiritual component to her work, using creative meditations, guided conversation and vocal intelligence exercises as a way to navigate emotions and develop a vast sense of self for creative/sensitive humans trying to exist in a not so sensitive world. She calls her work “Music & Humaning” because she hopes to guide people into a life long practice of trusting their humanity in order to deepen their experience of spirituality through music and ongoing self awareness.

Although Shellee has worked with all ages and been extensively involved in the the world of music business, she specializes in folks who have not enjoyed traditional music lessons and outcome focused programs or have been afraid to try music at all. Though most of her past students have been teenagers and young adults, more and more “grown ups” are beginning to see the need for this type of work in their life. She especially loves helping neurodivergent and highly sensitive folks, as she considers herself to be both and believes that neurospicy humans are quite literally the WAY of the future.

“My time working with Shellee for the last 6 years has played an essential role in who I’ve grown up to be. She has helped me develop my songwriting into a creative practice that brings me joy and satisfaction. Her approach to teaching songwriting is one of a kind and I’m very grateful for my time working with her.”

Zoe (Student)

Shellee has been very influential in my musical journey. She started by mentoring me in songwriting, which developed into co-writing several songs together. She has not only given guidance and direction in artist development, but she has helped to navigate our family in finding additional members to add to OUR team. She simply opens her heart and her creative toolbox, and encourages you to express yourself, determine what path you want to take and how to gain acceptance through each process.

“As a mom of a child with physical and behavioral challenges, I am grateful for how Shellee's love of helping others write songs has helped my daughter to write and sing her own. Shellee has also helped me as a mom to recognize how music can be of immense value in addressing certain emotional needs that my daughter has.”
